Hello Beloved Blog Readers! I hope you are enjoying this first day of spring, which is also my 28th birthday! Can you believe it? I can't. It feels like I just turned 23 and was about to get married. my birthday is right before valentine's day, so my mom did a heart themed party for me when i was in middle school--complete with heart cookies, pink punch with ice cubs (with cherries frozen in them!), and red and pink everywhere! i felt like a princess!

I actually don't remember a bad birthday, so I am thankful for that. I loved it that my mom had us pick a cake out of the Betty Crocker cookbook and she would make it- I think my favorite was a castle. I loved my 16th birthday- it was a surprise party with all my friends and family- and for once I was actually surprised!

One birthday that always comes to mind is when I was about 3 years old. My birthday party was in McDonald's! Back in the early 80's, this was a hot spot for birthdays :) It was a great time with my cousins and immediate family!
