"C-M-Y-K...it's fun to print with C-M-Y-K..." sing along....
No, this isn't a bad version of the Village People. This is me (yellow) and some of my coworkers, modeling how much we love to wear what we do. For those of you who don't know, CMYK stands for Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black (K is black), also known as 4 color process printing. Our process color clothing was pure coincidence, but was too funny not to take a couple photos.
I don't have the time or patience at the moment to share a full lesson in four color printing, but Wickipedia has done a pretty good job of explaining the basics here, if you'd like to learn more. Then you get into halftoning and color separations, and that's probably more than you care to know. But we care, because we're designers and we deal with printing and colors every single day. We live and breathe color! Sometimes I have to stop myself from wondering how much cyan is in the sky. Kidding! Here's proof that we do have fun at work!
Ha! This is great!! :]
