Gender-Neutral Farm Animal Baby Shower Invitation

I love having the opportunity to design invitations for friends that I have known most of my life. My friend, Alonna and her husband, Pat, recently welcomed their precious baby girl into their family and I could not be happier for them! I've known Alonna and her family since she was in second grade (or longer!). Alonna and Pat are such an adorable couple, and if you know Alonna, you know how much she loves animals. This gender-neutral farm animal theme invitation was so much fun to create, based on their idea. I applaud them for being able to wait 9 months to find out if they were having a girl or a boy. Welcome to the world sweet baby! You are so very loved.

Wedding Invitation for Janelle and Jeffery

I've mentioned before that designing wedding invitations are some of my favorite projects. They feel more like fun than work! I'm especially honored when a past bride and groom recommend me to their friends. This was the case with Janelle and Jeffery. They were looking for a classic elegant invitation and response card to compliment their wine-colored October wedding, and were open to my ideas.

I presented three different designs and they selected the one focusing on their names with a hand-written style script font and elegant lines. This was fun for me, because I've been wanting to design an invitation like this.

The ink is burgundy and brown, printed on ivory paper with matching envelopes. Sometimes simple elegance is best.

Congratulations Janelle and Jeffery! I hope your wedding day was just perfect and I wish you a lifetime of love and happiness! It was a pleasure working with you.

Lynn and Peter's Wedding and Invitation

November. What?

It was just September, and we were attending Lynn and Pete's wedding. How exactly did two months slip by? Wow.

Before I loose track of any more time, I want to share the wedding invitation set and save-the-date post card I designed for Lynn and Peter. My husband works with this adorable couple, and I don't know if it's possible to find two sweeter people. Lynn is simply adorable and we became instant friends. I was thrilled to work with them, as well as attend their September wedding. Lynn was looking for a love bird theme wedding invitation in her fall colors - red, gold, and green. I love the sweet simplicity.

Isn't she a beautiful bride?

So much love and sweetness between these two.

Showering them with bubbles after the ceremony. Look at that sky!

Their reception was at the Green Lantern Inn, in Fairport, NY. We had a blast!

Here I am, striking a pose in my new favorite peplum dress (from H&M). Another wedding attendee was wearing the same one, so you know it was a good choice.

The happy couple took photos along the beautiful canal.

My love and I, enjoying the evening with friends.

Congratulations Lynn and Peter! You two are such a sweet couple. We are blessed by your friendship and thrilled that we could share in your special day. We wish you a lifetime of love and happiness!

Sari & Travis' Wedding Invitation Set

I had the privilege of working with Sari and her mom Jackie, to design an elegant wedding invitation set, for Sari and Travis' August wedding. The best part is, they chose letterpress printing. This was my first time working with Pistachio Press and they did a beautiful job. Right down to the custom color lined envelopes. Really wonderful work.

I just love the feel of the impression on the cotton paper. Each piece is done by hand and the colors are spot on.

Bright coral and yellow gold with a leafy green accent inside the envelope. The bee theme reflected the favors, which were little vials of honey from the family's harvest.

The invitations matched the floral fabric table cloths at the reception.

Aren't these little baskets adorable? I designed individual guest place cards for each one.

I also designed the table cards, each named for a different ballet/dance.

As well as a large guest seating chart with floor map.

And one last touch - a sticker enclosure for the outer envelope.

Congratulations to the beautiful bride and groom, Sari and Travis! I have never seen photographs of a more beautiful "backyard" wedding. This was not your typical backyard wedding - the location, the bridal party, the decor, the guests, every single detail was carefully composed and beautifully done. Sari is a ballet dancer and instructor, and there was dancing, including many of her students. The couple even released doves. I am sure it was an amazing celebration to be part of.

Simply stunning. Look at that table and those chandeliers!

I love the happy colors woven throughout the entire wedding. The beautiful bridal party.

The groomsmen - and woman - who happens to be my cousin Julie. A happy coincidence that I didn't realize until I was designing the guest cards. I had no idea my cousin (whom I haven't seen in at least 15-20 years) is friends with the groom, and was part of his side of the bridal party. How wild is that?

Look at this gorgeous bride - and those shoes!

They even incorporated the color scheme into these amazingly unique heels! How fun.
