Monthly Marshall Moments: Four
Four months! I now understand why so many people continue to tell me to enjoy every minute because it goes so fast. It's true! Just going through photos from Marshall's birth until now, it's hard to believe how much he has grown, so quickly. Our little boy is getting bigger, physically as well as his growing personality. He is such a happy guy! We could not be more thankful or more blessed by having him in our life.
I tried a different setup and location for our monthly photos, but it didn't work quite as well as I'd hoped. I was still able to capture some adorable smiles and poses, but the lighting just wasn't great.
But I mean, come on. Look at this fella. Those arms and legs and hands and feet!
The next day, I was able to capture these beauties after setting him on the couch under the skylight. The lighting was perfect! And Marshall was so happy and absolutely adorable. I think these are some of my favorite photos yet!
His little hands are the cutest. I just melt when he's all smiles.
Picking a favorite image is like trying to pick a favorite flavor of ice cream - next to impossible!
• Smiling a lot
• Starting to giggle more and more. It's the best!
• Babbling, cooing, and talking to himself all the time
• Everything is going in his mouth (hands, blankets, clothes, toys)
• He likes to chew on a little blankie
• Trying to roll over
• Likes to try to stand
• Still loves being held and walked around
• Likes being outside and going for walks
• He's been sleeping like a champ! 7-8 hour stretches some nights!
• Stomps his legs and feet in his crib (while sleeping and while awake)
• More hair is starting to grow on his head
• Wearing 6-9 month clothing
• 15 lbs 2 oz, 25.25 inches
This sweet little love has captured our hearts and it's amazing to watch him grow. He's such a good baby and so good natured. He's definitely all boy. We love that he likes to sleep in sometimes like us! He just wants to be with us and hang out.
I just look at him and wonder what he will be like as he grows up. What will he like to do? What will it sound like when he starts talking in complete sentences? Will he be running around the house? Will he love sports like his Dad? Will he be creative like me?
I really love this stage right now, when he's still a "baby" and fits snugly in my arms. I can hold him and carry him around. When he stares at me with those big blue eyes, the world around me just stops. He is so sweet, I still can't believe he's ours. Of course, he has his fitful moments, crying spells and fussy times, like any baby. But even then, I feel spoiled because he's so easy to love and easy to care for.
God has truly blessed our family abundantly. Marshall is our gift from God and I pray that my life reflects that every single day.
